Terms, Conditions, and House Rules

RESERVATION POLICY

A credit card is required to book and the total cost of the reservation will be charged to the credit card at the time of booking.

Reservations are not guaranteed until reviewed by management. Because our property is available to book on third-party booking sites, sometimes availability calendars are not updated fast enough to reflect these bookings. In rare occasions, we may cancel reservations due to availability conflicts.

TAXES AND FEES

Applicable taxes, including Mexican Value Added Tax (IVA) and hospitality tax, will be added to all bookings.

PAYMENT POLICY

Full payment will be charged at time of booking. If the payment declines management will notify the guest within 3 business days for alternate payment. Should alternate payment not be received the booking will be cancelled.

RATES

Prices listed in our English site are in U.S. Dollars and do not include taxes and fees unless specified. Payments are charged in U.S. Dollars (USD) and originate from Mexico. Depending on your card issuer, you may be charged a foreign transaction fee. We recommend using a card that is free of foreign transaction fees. We are not responsible for any costs or fees associated with using your card.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Check-In Time: 3:00 PM
Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM

Early check-in and late check-outs may be accommodated depending on availability but is not guaranteed.

A valid government ID is required at check-in. Only the person whose name is on the reservation may check-in.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Reservations may be changed up to 48 hours prior to check-in time, to a future stay up to 1 year after the original check-in date without penalties (a difference in rates may apply and subject to availability).

All reservations cannot be cancelled or modified within 48 hours of check-in time.

Early departures will not receive credit or refund for the unused stay. Extensions will require a new reservation for the additional date(s), subject to availability and published rates.

Third Party Booking Sites: If you booked your reservation through an online booking partner such as Airbnb or Expedia, please refer to the cancellation and change policies of that site. No exceptions will be made to this policy.

PETS

While we love our furry animal friends, for the comfort of our other guests, pets are not allowed in our suites. Registered helper service animals, such as seeing-eye dogs, are exempt from this policy.

VISITORS

For the safety of our property and all of our guests, visitors are only permitted during the hours of 8am – 10pm. Visitors are not allowed during quiet hours. Please, no excessive number of visitors. Please escort your visitors in and out of the property. Visitors should not be given your security access codes. We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors permitted, deny entry, or require visitors show identification before entering the property for safety. Guests are fully liable for the conduct and behavior of their visitors.

DAMAGE

DAMAGE AND/OR THEFT OF PROPERTY: You are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberant, negligence, or reckless act) to your suite, our premises, or property caused by you or any person in your party. We reserve the right to retain your credit card and/or debit card details from your booking and charge the card in such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by us.

Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your card for any damage incurred to your suite or our property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

DAMAGE TO MATTRESSES AND BEDDING: Damage to mattresses and linen including; towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, and comforters resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, personal lubricants, etc. will result in a charge for the special cleaning, repair or replacement of the damaged article.

DAMAGE OR TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS/FIRE-FIGHTING EQUIPMENT: We reserve the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the property. Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or firefighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by us due to their actions and will be evicted from the property. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, law enforcement may become involved at our discretion. Should the fact that firefighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorize us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your suite or our property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.

HOUSE RULES

All guests are required to follow our house rules for their safety and the safety and comfort of other guests:

  • Quiet Building: We aim to provide a comfortable and a relaxing place for our guests after a day of experiencing Puerto Vallarta. As such, we do not allow parties, loud noises, or excessive number of visitors which cause disturbances for our guests.
  • No Smoking Policy: There is no smoking of any kind (including cigarettes, marijuana, and vaporizers) in the suites, on the balconies, and in the common areas of the building. If you need to smoke, we kindly ask you step outside the building. Smoking in the suites may result in an additional cleaning fee of $2,000 pesos.
  • Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are nightly from 10pm – 8am. Please no loud music or noises, and keep your television volume at a reasonable level during this time.  We want you to enjoy your stay at Cárdenas Suites but please remember there are other guests staying here. If you will be staying out late, please keep the noise level down in the common areas when you return from your night out.
  • Visitors: For the safety of our property and all of our guests, visitors are only permitted during the hours of 8am – 10pm. Visitors are not allowed during quiet hours. We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors permitted, deny entry, or require visitors show identification before entering the property for safety.   • Electricity and Air Conditioning: Please help us conserve by limiting air conditioning use to occupied rooms and turn them off when you go out. We want you to be comfortable so please enjoy the air conditioner while you are in the suite. Electricity usage is monitored, and excessive use may result in additional fees.
  • No Pets Allowed: While we love our furry animal friends, for the comfort of our other guests, pets are not allowed in our suites. Registered helper service animals, such as seeing-eye dogs, are exempt from this policy.

We reserve the right to evict disruptive guests/visitors from the property without refund. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s). We have a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation on our property or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by local Mexican law and the management of the property.

LOST & FOUND

We assume no liability for lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged valuables or belongings. If you discover that you have left behind something of value, please contact us immediately and we will try to assist you.

ACCESS TO SUITES

To provide all of our guests with an exceptionally clean and safe experience, we reserve the right to enter your suite for reasonable purposes, such as for housekeeping, maintenance, to verify that the suite, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our policies or rules. Our staff will normally knock and announce themselves before entering your guestroom, unless we believe that exigent circumstances exist. Please contact us if you are a “Day Sleeper” or you are staying in the room due to illness. Management reserves the right to enter a room with a known status of “Do Not Disturb” in the event of an emergency, suspected illegal activity taking place, disturbing other guests, or damage being done to hotel property. In the event of suspected illegal activity, management reserves the right to summon law enforcement to aid in eviction. The right to privacy ends when one of our policies or rules is broken. Law enforcement will be granted immediate access.

NO PARTIES

We enforce a strict No Party Policy to ensure we can ensure the safety of our property and our guests and provide a comfortable, relaxing environment for them. No parties, loud disturbances and/or noise nuisance are allowed or tolerated on the property. In the event of a disturbance, one polite request (warning) will be given to reduce the noise. If our request is not followed, the guest will be asked to leave the property without refund. Registered guest(s) is responsible for all visitors. Non-Registered visitors are only permitted outside of our quiet hours. Visitors staying overnight may be asked to leave, a per person/per night surcharge may be assessed, and/or you may be evicted from the property without refund.

HOUSEKEEPING

Housekeeping is not included with your stay unless specified with your booking. If during your stay, you would like to change the bed linens or towels, please contact us and we will be more than happy to change these items for you free of charge. If you require housekeeping and/or cleaning service, it can be arranged at a small fee. Please contact us to arrange for this service.
